Job Title: Armed Security Guard
Organization: Sweet Auburn Frontline Enforcement (S.A.F.E.)

Position Summary:
The Armed Security Guard at S.A.F.E. is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated community areas. This role requires a vigilant, highly responsible individual equipped with their own firearm, who can respond quickly to potential threats. The guard will need to follow all S.A.F.E. protocols and be approved as a vendor-compliant individual to meet our community’s unique security needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct scheduled patrols to deter criminal activity, monitor for suspicious behavior, and ensure community safety.
• Incident Response: React promptly to emergencies, threats, or disturbances. Use judgment to assess situations and respond according to S.A.F.E. protocols and public safety regulations.
• Access Control and Monitoring: Oversee access points as needed, verify credentials, and maintain control of the premises.
• Reporting and Documentation: Accurately document all incidents, daily activities, and potential security risks in detailed reports submitted to S.A.F.E. management.
• Community Assistance: Engage with community members professionally, assisting them as needed while upholding a courteous and protective demeanor.

Requirements:

• Firearm: Must possess and maintain their own legally registered firearm, with a commitment to responsible handling and storage.
• Vendor Approval: Must be approved by S.A.F.E.’s vendor standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.
• Experience: Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
• Licensing: Must meet state and local requirements for armed security personnel, including any necessary firearms permits or certifications.
• Skills: Excellent observational skills, strong judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
